Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using CodeShield AI. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms are governed by Irish law and comply with EU consumer protection legislation.
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lydia Morgan, trading as CodeShield AI, based in Ireland ("CodeShield AI", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our service, you agree to these terms.
If you are using CodeShield AI on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
CodeShield AI provides a security scanning tool that:
The free tier allows unlimited scanning of public repositories at no cost. No licence key is required. The free tier is provided as-is with no service level guarantees.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed securely by LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. If you are based in the EU, VAT may be applicable.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your purchase, contact us at lydiamorgan85@gmail.com for a full refund. No questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. EU consumers retain all statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Directive.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your LemonSqueezy customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
You agree to use CodeShield AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
The CodeShield AI open-source scanner is licensed under the MIT Licence. The licence validation system, documentation, website, and branding are proprietary and owned by Lydia Morgan.
Your licence grants you the right to use CodeShield AI for your own security scanning. It does not grant rights to reproduce, modify, or distribute our proprietary components.
Your use of CodeShield AI is subject to our Privacy Policy. Importantly, your source code is never transmitted to our servers. All scanning occurs locally within your own GitHub Actions environment.
CodeShield AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for 97% detection accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all security vulnerabilities or secrets will be detected. You should not rely solely on CodeShield AI for your security posture. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, CodeShield AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by Irish law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeShield AI and Lydia Morgan from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The free tier has no uptime guarantee. Paid plans receive priority support but are subject to the same infrastructure limitations. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. For paid subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days notice of significant changes or discontinuation. If we discontinue the service, we will provide a pro-rata refund for unused paid periods.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. EU consumers retain all rights afforded under EU consumer protection law.
